Songwriters in the Round This Friday May 15!

HPPR's Songwriters in the Round series continues on Friday, May 15!  This show will be at The Fibonacci, located at 3306 SW 6th Ave, the home base of Chamber Music Amarillo.  The doors will open at 7:00, and the show will start at 7:30.  To make a reservation for this show, give us a call at 806-367-9088 or send an e-mail to music@hppr.org.  We will have the usual great coffee from the good folks at Evocation Coffee Roasters, cookies from Kristy Fuller and a great evening of original music.  Don't miss it!

About the Artists

Rick Branigan

Rick is a veteran of the Amarillo music scene- I heard him for the 1st time in 1994.  His playing and his distinctive voice are captivating and entertaining.  Anyone who saw him last year as the opening act for his son Rodney at the Fibonacci knows that we will have an evening of great music.

Ronnie Fleming

Ronnie is the founding member/catalyst for Sadie's Rangers, a band that formed out the Wednesday night jam sessions in his backyard.  A prolific writer and multi-instrumentalist, he has released 2 solo CDs, 1 with Sadie's Rangers and 1 with Gary Thomason and myself(Mike Fuller).

Yosi Mesbah

Nashville-based Yosi Mesbah just happens to be in town this week, and we are thrilled to be able to include her in our show this evening.

Mike Fuller

Mike's day job is as Music Director for High Plains Public Radio and the host of High Plains Morning. He's been a songwriter for 25 years.

Mike Fuller remains our station's favorite prodigal son. Former Music Director of High Plains Public Radio, and host of High Plains Morning (2010-2015), he has returned to HPPR with a new show called What The Folk?—a signature mix of folk, roots, Americana, and more—woven together by a unifying theme. Tune in every Saturday night at 7pm CT for a two-hour mix that could only come from the man himself.
