ABOUT REBECCA LOEBE:

"Call me Becca." Performing live is Rebecca Loebe’s favorite thing to do in the world. “I write songs because I have to, because if I didn’t I would go absolutely crazy,” she says. “So that’s what I’ve been doing non-stop for the past five years or so; writing songs and driving all over the country, performing them for anyone who would listen.”

Rebecca is a young singer-songwriter who grew up in Atlanta, GA, but she’s also done time in DC, Boston and New York. Right now, she has made her home in Austin, TX –- though one could argue she might be more at home on the road. She is known for her distinct voice, well-crafted songs, and on-stage storytelling.

“At first, I was also working part-time as a recording engineer, which is what I went to fancy-pants music college for, but then one day I looked at my calendar and realized it had been over a year since I had [freelance work],” she says. “And thus began my career as a full-time musician.”

Rebecca has toured non-stop since 2009, averaging 150 to 200 shows per year as a headliner and with bands like The Civil Wars, Ellis Paul, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Matt the Electrician, and others.

Rebecca’s live performances have generated a passionate fan base around the world. Earlier this year, she was ranked #9 on Alternate Root Magazine’s annual listing of the 30 Best Female Singers in America.

Plus, her songwriting has been widely recognized and honored, including the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Award.
