KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

HPPR Budget and Funding Sources

High Plains Public Radio is funded primarily through a variety of private sources.  These sources are projected to provide the following shares of income for the fiscal year 2018 operating budget of $1,301,733:

34%   Membership contributions

20%   Business underwriting

17%   Private foundations

3%    Tower leasing

1%    Vehicle donations

75%  TOTAL PRIVATE SUPPORT

The remaining 25% of operating funding is from the state of Kansas and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in the form of an annual Community Service Grant and funding from.  This grant has been declining steadily in recent years.
